The location of the property was perfect for our stay, having been born and lived in Kilsyth for 11 years it was easy enough to find, but the hosts provided fantastic directions. The property sits in a beautiful area and the sound of the running water was very peaceful. The home itself was clean and tidy with plenty of space and all the amenities you need for a short break or longer stay. Access to the property was easy, with instructions from the hosts in advance for accessing the keys etc. The later check out time was also a bonus.
Only a few minor thing: 1. Storage for coats would be great especially in the colder winter months; 2. Instructions on how to turn on the heating would have been useful - there is an open fire in the living area and instructions on it's use were provided, although not really needed as the downstairs was warm, however the upstairs was cold so instructions on how to control the radiators upstairs would be useful. 3. The stairs - they are polished wood and with socks on were a little terrifying.
