Old Alfama Square, or Largo do Chafariz de Dentro, is a charming, intimate space located in the heart of the Alfama district in Lisbon. Steeped in history, the square takes its name from the old water fountain ("chafariz") that once served as a vital water source for the local community. The area around the square is characterized by its traditional architecture, with pastel-coloured buildings, wrought-iron balconies, and cobbled streets that capture the essence of Alfama's rich heritage.
This square is a vibrant meeting point, where locals and visitors alike gather in its cafés and restaurants. The square offers a peaceful contrast to the surrounding labyrinthine streets, with a few benches shaded by trees, providing a moment of respite. It is also close to cultural landmarks, including the Fado Museum, making it a popular stop for those exploring the deeper cultural roots of Lisbon. The gentle hum of everyday life, the occasional echo of Fado music from nearby taverns, and the picturesque setting make Old Alfama Square a quintessential part of the neighborhood's enduring appeal.

Humberto Delgado Airport: a 24-minute drive

This is a self-check-in property, and you will be requested to verify your identity before enter into the property. Check-in can be done from 3 PM, pending availability and confirmation.

Once a reservation is confirmed, guests are requested to complete a guest registration form following the legal obligations stipulated by local authorities in Portugal.

There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee at minimum.

Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€.

For the first days, we provide the basic amenities: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products and bin bag.

Extra keys: 20€ (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys or service to open the door during your stay).
Extra cleaning with linen: the price of a cleaning fee.
Extra Clothing: 30€ (Towels and sheets for 2pax, i.e. when the sofa bed is not included).
