About this house rental
Family is important. There is no better place to have a multigenerational lake vacation than The Yellow House on Evans Lake in Michigan's beautiful Irish Hills.
It's a great location. Irish Hills is a short drive from several areas such as Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Kalamazoo, and Toledo. Irish Hills is a lake region with rolling hills, winding roads, and 55 lakes. There are historic sites, wineries with live music, golf courses, antique shops, and small towns with good eats and quaint shops.
It's a great inland lake. Evans Lake is a 201 acre all sports private lake. Swimming, floating, boating, skiing, tubing, kayaking (we provide 4), and paddle boarding (we provide 2) are all enjoyed on Evans Lake. The fish are biting! There are Northern Pike, Walleye, Bass, Perch, Bluegill, and other pan fish in our clean waters. Evans Lake is ranked in the top 7% for cleanest lakes in Michigan (per ELLOA). There is a dock and beach area. Entering the water is a gradual descent so it is perfect for little ones.
It's a great yard. There is plenty of room to run and play, a volleyball net, 2 large maple trees for shaded area, and a lakeside paver patio with a firepit.
It's a great house. The Yellow House very comfortably accommodates 16 people and you don't feel like you are right on top of each other! There's areas to get away and enjoy the view with a good book, play board games with the grandkids, watch TV, sit and talk, have a dance party (in the great room), gather for a meal, and get good rest after a fun filled day.
Friends can be like family and there is no better place to reconnect with those relationships that at The Yellow House! With 10+ separate beds including a queen bed in every bedroom, it is perfect for girlfriend getaways, guys golf weekends, Grandma's 80th birthday party, or couples retreats! We can arrange for early check ins and late check outs on Fall, Winter, and Spring weekends so you have plenty of time to enjoy!
