We once imagined a place like this only existed in stories, until we found it here. At the heart of the estate, a bluffside deck and gazebo open to dramatic water views, glowing sunsets and the sound of waves below. The Cedar & Salt Estate is tucked into a peaceful wooded setting near Freshwater Bay, where the forest meets the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Keep your eyes on the water because this area is known for incredible marine life, including orcas, whales, dolphins, harbor seals, river otters, and bald eagles. Freshwater Bay is also a beautiful spot for kayaking, fishing, crabbing, birdwatching, or simply slowing down and taking in the water.

Tucked into nearly 3.3 private wooded acres above the Strait of Juan de Fuca, this 3,065 sq ft castle-style retreat feels hidden away in its own little world. Towering evergreens surround you, the water stretches across the horizon, and throughout the estate are small reminders that this is not an ordinary vacation rental.

This is the kind of place where mornings begin with coffee overlooking the sea, afternoons are spent exploring Olympic National Park, and everyone somehow ends up outside together when the sky starts to change.

Step onto the private bluffside deck where the Strait stretches across the horizon and you can hear the waves below. Right beside it, the covered gazebo shares the same sweeping view, giving you a front-row seat to glowing sunsets, quiet mornings, and evenings around the fire.

Soak in the private hot tub beneath the evergreens, watch ships move across the water, and keep an eye out for bald eagles, whales, orcas, dolphins, and other wildlife.

Cedar & Salt was designed to feel warm, regal and just a little unexpected. Dramatic chandeliers, rich textures, warm lighting and storybook details carry the castle feeling throughout the home, while large windows keep the trees and water connected to the experience indoors.

The estate sleeps up to 14 guests across 5 bedrooms and 7 beds, making it especially well suited for families, multiple couples and groups traveling together.

The kitchen is fully equipped for group meals and longer stays, with a dedicated coffee setup for one of our favorite Cedar & Salt rituals: making a fresh cup and taking it outside before everyone else wakes up.

📍 CLOSE TO OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK

Cedar & Salt gives you the feeling of escaping into the Pacific Northwest without giving up access to the places you came here to explore.

Olympic National Park Visitor Center: approximately 20 minutes away

You will also be within easy reach of Freshwater Bay, Lake Crescent, downtown Port Angeles, Hurricane Ridge and the incredible coastline of the Olympic Peninsula.

Spend the day hiking, exploring lakes and beaches, then come back to something that feels like part of the destination itself.
