The Space:

Whether you're escaping for a few days or settling in for a longer stay, Banksia Terrace brings together peace, privacy, contemporary comfort and an extraordinary coastal setting. From the shaded front patio, watch for whales and dolphins passing offshore, spot seals and soaring sea eagles, or simply settle back and listen to the waves. Please note; the upper level of the property will not be occupied during your stay.



The light-filled ground-floor apartment combines clean, Scandinavian-inspired lines with warm timber details and relaxed coastal style. A generous open-plan living and dining area opens to the garden and front . The bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, and the contemporary bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower.



The kitchen includes a cooktop, bar fridge, dishwasher, microwave, air fryer, Nespresso coffee machine, plunger coffee maker, toaster and kettle. Please note there is no oven. An electric outdoor bar-b-q is provided for guest use.



Other comforts include reverse-cycle air conditioning, a washer/dryer, beverage chiller, hair dryer, iron, Smart TV, WiFi and a Bluetooth sound system. Books, puzzles and games are provided. Quality bed linen and bath towels are supplied.



A cot, change table and high chair can be provided upon prior request.



With nothing but banksias between you and the ocean, mornings begin slowly - to the sound of surf, birdsong and the occasional passing black cockatoo. Keep an eye out for local kangaroos and echidnas, too. Most of all, Banksia Terrace is quiet and private - just you, the banksias, the beach and the birds.

Guest Access:

Self-check-in is available via lockbox. Guests have exclusive use of the entire ground floor, excluding the garage and storage areas, plus the private front patio and garden. The upstairs level is not occupied during guest bookings.



Off street driveway parking is available (please note; the driveway is a little steep) or on the street.



Check-in is from 2:00 pm and check-out is by 10:00 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available as an optional extra, subject to adjoining bookings, housekeeping and maintenance requirements. Availability can be confirmed 24 hours beforehand.



The Neighborhood:

Banksia Terrace is in sought-after Old Tuross, directly opposite the beach reserve and a short stroll from One Tree Beach and Tuross Lake. Scenic walkways follow the coastline and the lake entrance. Wander to the Tuross Boatshed for coffee, fish and chips or a relaxed drink, or continue along the waterfront towards the Pickled Octopus restaurant. Swimming, fishing, kayaking, walking and the surrounding national parks are all within easy reach.



Getting Around:

Local coastal pathways provide convenient walking and cycling access to nearby beaches, Tuross Lake, the Boatshed and village facilities.

After booking confirmation, you will receive an automated message with a link to our Guest Registration and Terms Acceptance form. The form must be completed within 24 hours of booking acceptance. It requires acceptance of the terms and conditions and valid photo identification. If the form is not completed within 24 hours, the booking may be cancelled.

𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐬; Pets are not permitted at Banksia Terrace @ Tuross Head.



𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭; A refundable guest security deposit of $500.00 applies at Banksia Terrace. The security deposit is held by way of a pre-authorisation against your card. The hold is placed on the day of arrival and released within 48 hours of departure unless withheld to cover any damages.



𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬; must not exceed the number of guests stated on the booking. The house has a maximum occupancy limit of 2 adults and 1 infant.



A non-refundable booking fee of $55.00 applies to each reservation.

𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

For direct bookings, the cancellation deadline is 4:59 pm, property local time, 60 days before arrival when the booking includes any night in Peak Season (18 December to 31 January inclusive), and 30 days before arrival for all other stays. Cancellations received by the applicable deadline are refunded according to the Booking Terms, less the non-refundable booking fee and a $150 cancellation fee. After the applicable deadline, 50% of the accommodation fee is payable and the booking fee remains non-refundable.
