This charming two-story cabin in the Sugarloaf neighborhood is just minutes from Big Bear Lake, The Village, ski resorts, hiking trails, and Sugarloaf Park. After a day of adventure, relax in your private hot tub spa or gather around the deck firepit under starlit skies. Surrounded by towering pines and beautiful mountain views, Beary Green Cabin is perfect for snow days, lake adventures, and a peaceful mountain retreat.
The Space:
Beary Green Cabin is a cozy two-story Big Bear cabin that blends mountain comfort with the beauty of the outdoors. Located in the peaceful Sugarloaf neighborhood near Big Bear Lake, this warm and inviting retreat is the perfect base for year-round adventures, from skiing and snowboarding in winter to hiking, biking, and lake days in summer.
Inside, the cabin is designed for comfort and relaxation after a day in the mountains. The master bedroom features a comfortable king bed, while the bright loft offers two queen beds, creating a spacious sleeping area perfect for families or friends traveling together. Both sleeping spaces include TVs so you can wind down with your favorite movies or shows at the end of the day.
The living room is the heart of the cabin, with a cozy fire stove that creates a warm mountain atmosphere for relaxing evenings, movie nights, or quiet time with a good book. Gather around with family and friends to play board games, share stories from the day’s adventures, or simply enjoy the peaceful cabin setting. In the morning, start your day at the coffee station before heading out to explore everything Big Bear has to offer.
Step outside and enjoy one of the cabin’s most memorable features: the private outdoor space surrounded by tall pines and fresh mountain air. The back deck is designed for relaxing mountain evenings, complete with a private hot tub spa and a firepit where you can unwind under clear, star-filled skies. Soak in the warm bubbling water after a day of skiing, hiking, or exploring the lake, and let the quiet forest setting melt away the stress of everyday life.

Guest access
Arrival & Guest Access:
Guests can enter the home through the front door, which provides easy access via a unique code for the electronic lock. Please do not attempt to enter through the back gates as they remain locked for safety and security.
Parking:
The driveway fits up to 2 vehicles. During snow season, do not park on the street, as the snowplows can damage vehicles. Snow and icy conditions can occur, so be prepared for winter driving and allow extra time to safely access the driveway and cabin.
Winter Considerations:
Big Bear winters bring variable weather, including snow and ice. The neighborhood and driveway may require careful navigation during snowstorms. Keep this in mind if you’re arriving during winter months and plan accordingly. Please check road conditions prior to travel as tire chains maybe required.
Cabin Access & Restrictions:
Guests have full access to the cabin and decks. The yard is free to explore, but please be mindful of neighbors, they are locals. The shed is locked and off-limits for guests.

Power & Internet Outages:
Due to our mountain location, Big Bear and the surrounding areas may occasionally experience power or internet outages caused by weather or other conditions beyond our control. These outages are typically brief, usually lasting only a few hours, and the city works quickly to restore service. Refunds are not issued for power or internet outages, as these are normal occurrences in mountain areas and are outside of our control.
Outdoor Usage:
During the winter months, snow may limit access to the deck, gas grill, and firepit, so please keep this in mind when booking. The driveway provides parking for up to 2 vehicles. Do not park on the street during snow season, as snowplows can damage vehicles.
Trash Disposal:
Big Bear City ordinance requires all guests and residents to dispose of trash at a local Clean Bear Site or Transfer Station. Nearby options include:
- Clean Bear Site: 41970 Garstin Dr., Big Bear Lake, CA
- Transfer Station: 38550 Holcomb Valley Road, Big Bear, CA
Quiet Hours:
Excessive noise or loud music that can be heard beyond the property line is strictly prohibited by the City of Big Bear out of respect for local residents. The city enforces quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM. Code Enforcement officers may respond to complaints and can issue fines or require guests to vacate the property for any violations. Unauthorized parties or events are not permitted. Please ensure outdoor lights, the firepit, and spa are turned off during these hours as well.
Respect for Neighbors:
Be mindful of neighbors who value the peace and serenity of the mountains. Please be considerate of the neighborhood and help us maintain a peaceful environment for everyone.
Spa & Deck:
The private spa and outdoor spaces are for guest use. Be aware that winter weather may temporarily limit access to the spa, we do not offer refunds for weather or natural related occurrences that limit guest use of the spa. The cover must remain on when the spa is not in use. Any issues caused by a guest, including leaving the spa uncovered or other damage, may result in additional fees charged to the guest for the damages, maintenance, or any additional cleaning. If the spa requires draining and refilling for maintenance or cleanliness, it can take up to 24 hours to reach full temperature. We are not liable and do not offer refunds for temperature delays, user error, or maintenance-related issues.
Hot Stove:
Beary Green Cabin has a wood-burning hot stove, not a conventional gas fireplace. It requires real firewood ONLY. Duraflame or similar manufactured logs are not permitted, as they will damage the stove. Matches are needed to light the firewood inside. The exterior gets extremely hot. Use extreme caution when adding wood, keep flammable items away, and supervise children and pets; ensure no one plays or goes near the stove when it’s in use.
No Smoking / Fire Safety:
Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property. Open or uncontrolled flames are prohibited, as the Big Bear area is at high risk for forest fires. Any evidence of violation is grounds for immediate eviction and subject to additional fees for cleaning.
