Located on the quieter northern end of the lake, the cottage offers beautiful views of the Taconic foothills, amazing sunsets, direct lake access and plenty to do in every season. It's a great place to relax with family, spend your days on the water, explore Vermont, or simply sit by the lake and enjoy the view.

Lake Access & Water Activities

Lake Bomoseen is right outside your door.

Bring your fishing gear, explore the lake by kayak, paddle out in the evening or just relax by the water.

Life jackets should be used while enjoying the watercraft, and children must be supervised at all times around the lake, dock and boats.

Watercraft and dock availability are seasonal and may depend on weather and lake conditions.

Bringing a Boat?

Guests are welcome to contact us about bringing their own boat and using our dock.

Our cottage is located north of the Lake Bomoseen Float Bridge, which limits access for taller boats. Boats with more than approximately 6 feet of clearance above the water may not be able to pass beneath the bridge.

While this limits some larger boat traffic, it's also one of our favorite things about this part of Lake Bomoseen - the northern end tends to be quieter and more relaxed, making it wonderful for families, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding and enjoying the lake.

There are also marinas and boat rentals available around Lake Bomoseen.

Fishing

Lake Bomoseen is a popular Vermont fishing destination with opportunities for largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch, crappie, trout, bluegill and other species.

Fish right from the property or head out onto the lake.

Guests are responsible for obtaining any required Vermont fishing license and following current Vermont fishing regulations.

You'll find restaurants, groceries and other necessities within a short drive, while still being able to return to a quiet cottage directly on the lake.

Linens & Towels

Please note: Bed linens and bath towels are not routinely provided.

Guests should plan to bring their own sheets and bath towels unless arrangements have been made with us in advance.

Dogs

Small, well-behaved dogs may be considered with prior approval.

Please contact us before booking with information about your dog. An additional pet fee may apply.

Approved dogs must be house-trained. Dogs should not be left unattended in the cottage unless appropriately crated. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and for any damage caused by them.

No pets are permitted without prior approval.

House Rules

We want our guests to relax and enjoy the cottage and Lake Bomoseen. We simply ask that you treat the house, property, lake and our neighbors with respect.

Maximum occupancy: 6 overnight guests.

Day visitors: Additional visitors must be approved in advance. Parties, large gatherings and unregistered groups are not permitted.

Check-in: 4:00 PM
Check-out: 11:00 AM

Please check out promptly so our cleaning team has enough time to prepare the cottage for our next guests.

Quiet hours: 11:00 PM-7:00 AM. Please be considerate of our neighbors, particularly when enjoying the waterfront or firepit in the evening.

Smoking & vaping: No smoking or vaping inside the cottage.

Parties & events: Parties and events are not permitted without prior approval.

Parking: Please park only in designated areas at the property. Do not park or drive on lawns or unplowed areas.

Firepit

Guests are welcome to enjoy the outdoor firepit when conditions permit.

Fires must remain in the designated firepit and must be fully extinguished when unattended or before retiring for the evening.

Please observe any local or state fire restrictions that may be in effect during your stay.

Waterfront Safety

This is a direct waterfront property. There is no fence separating the cottage from the lake and there is no lifeguard.

Children must be supervised around the water, dock and watercraft at all times.

Guests are responsible for using the lake, dock and recreational equipment safely and appropriately.

Winter Travel - Please Read

Winter is a beautiful time to visit Vermont - and snow is part of the experience!

During snowy or icy weather, AWD or 4WD with good tires is strongly recommended.

Guests should monitor weather and road conditions before traveling.

Following a snowfall, please do not drive into the driveway until it has been plowed. Do not drive off the plowed driveway or parking areas.

Sand is available at the cottage for icy conditions.

Normal Vermont winter weather, snowfall and changing road conditions should be anticipated when booking a winter stay.

A Few Things to Know Before Booking

This is a family lake cottage rather than a hotel or resort. You'll be staying directly on a Vermont lake surrounded by nature.

Depending on the season, that can include insects, wildlife, changing lake conditions, leaves, pollen, mud, snow and everything else that comes with enjoying Vermont outdoors.

That's part of what we love about the place.
