The Space:

Welcome to Nellies Lodge—a haven where comfort meets nature.



Upon arrival, you’ll find ample parking in the gravel driveway and a convenient two-stall garage. As you ascend the wood and gravel stairs to the main entrance, you’ll be greeted by a keypad lock entryway. Inside, a spacious closet and a handy bench await, setting the tone for the open-concept living room, dining room, and kitchen that lie ahead.



The living room invites you with a cozy couch and love seat, complemented by a wood-burning fireplace. Sliding glass doors open to a generous outdoor balcony, perfect for soaking in the views. The dining room offers a table for four, though a larger table is available on the lower level for bigger gatherings. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, gas stove and oven, coffee maker, microwave, and more, ensuring you feel right at home.



Venture upstairs from the living room to discover the loft family room—a delightful space for kids, filled with bins of toys, a TV, a large sectional couch, and a daybed, creating an idyllic retreat.



Continuing down the hallway from the living room, you’ll find two of the home’s three bedrooms. Straight ahead is a bedroom with two twin beds, a closet, a dresser, and a collection of children’s books. To the left, a bedroom with a queen bed, a spacious closet, and a small dresser awaits. The final non-conforming queen bedroom is located on the lower level, complete with two large closets and a dresser.



The home features two full bathrooms, one on each floor, conveniently located across the hall from the bedrooms.



Head downstairs to a large family room, thoughtfully furnished with a loveseat, chairs, and an extensive library of books. This area includes a generous table, perfect for family meals or game nights, and a wood-burning stove. Sliding glass doors lead to the lower patio, and this floor also offers a laundry room and an office workspace with a full desk and a loveseat for quick work breaks.



For outdoor enthusiasts, Nellies Lodge boasts several acres of land with mowed trails for exploration. For those who enjoy relaxation the Finnish way, an outdoor wood-burning sauna awaits just a short walk from the home’s main entrance. Across the yard a small pond, accompanied by a charming pond house with a wood-burning stove, futon, and mini-fridge, adds to the allure. The pond house deck offers comfortable seating for relaxing evenings, while a nearby fire ring creates the perfect setting for serene nights by the pond.



Guest Access:

Nellies Lodge is accessed via a gravel driveway. You can park anywhere in the driveway or in the two stall garage on the left as you pull in. You will access the door of the home via a wood and gravel staircase and, as such, is not recommended for guests with mobility restrictions.



Guests are allowed access to any part of the home except for the following:

-Locked owners closet

-Both one-stall garages on the property

-The workshop and loft-space above the garage

-The loft space in the pond house

Nellies Lodge is located in Erwin Township, outside of Ironwood, Michigan.



Getting Around:

This home is located in the rural Erwin Township, less than 10 miles from Ironwood, Michigan. There is ample space for cars, trucks, trailers, ATVs/ORVs, etc. at the home, we just ask that you are respectful of the property and the neighbors.



Other Things to Note:

Access to Nellies Lodge is via a wood and gravel stairway. Those with mobility restrictions will have difficulty accessing the home.



The downstairs, queen bedroom is non-conforming.



The pond house is not available during the winter months.



We are happy to be a dog-friendly home, but all pets, including service animals, must be disclosed at booking or brought to our attention before check in so that the pet fee can be included in your reservation, preventing confusion later on. Any unauthorized pets will result in a $350 fee. If unauthorized pets are brought to our attention during a guests stay it will result in a $350 fee as well as termination of the remainder of the stay. Please let us know before you visit if you intend on bringing a pet.
