A terrible experience - I left after one night instead of four
It was only 45 from my target daily area, 7-eleven was pretty close just couple minute of walk and surrondings is a residential area that feels quiet.
Even though the area is quiet, somehow I had neighbors on the same floor who talked very loudly outside their apartment at 11:40 PM. And that's not the main issue.
The listing presents bright photos that make the apartment look clean and well-maintained. Unfortunately, my actual experience was very different.
There were several minor issues, including a cracked toilet seat, dirty walls, deteriorated/rotten bathroom hooks, and bugs in the bathroom.
More importantly, there were two serious problems. First, the air conditioner was heavily contaminated with what appeared to be mold. The condition was bad enough that I decided to leave the apartment the next day after arriving late in the evening. I did not feel it was reasonable to stay in an apartment with such poor air quality, especially given the potential health risks I might have due to my health condition.
Second, the shower was damaged and leaking four streams of water from the sides, making it difficult to use safely.
I contacted the owner and requested a refund for the unused nights, but the owner refused. As a result, I was put in a situation where staying could potentially cause health problems, while leaving meant losing the money I had already paid. So I felt like I was being held hostage.
Unfortunately, Booking.com also refused to provide a refund for remaining nights even 2.5.5 policy seems covering that case. I was very disappointed with how the situation was handled.
Based on my experience, I recommend avoiding this property due to lack of responsibility of the owner. I will also continue pursuing the matter through consumer protection channels.
