Dear Booking.com Support Team,
I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my confirmed reservation.
I booked an apartment through Booking.com for one night and received confirmation of my reservation. The payment was also held or charged. However, when I arrived at the property with my children, the host informed me that the apartment had already been rented to someone else. As a result, I was unable to access the accommodation I had paid for.
This situation caused significant stress and inconvenience for my family, especially because I was traveling with children and had relied on my confirmed reservation. I was left without accommodation and could not find another suitable place at a comparable price. Hotels were extremely expensive, and I could not afford to pay such a high amount.
I believe this is unacceptable, as I fulfilled my responsibility by making the reservation and payment, but the host failed to honor the booking.
I am requesting the following:
1. A full refund of any amount charged or held for this reservation.
2. Fair compensation for the inconvenience, stress, and disruption caused by the host’s failure to provide the confirmed accommodation.
I do not need alternative accommodation at this point. I simply want Booking.com to resolve this matter fairly by refunding my money and providing appropriate compensation.
Please investigate this incident and escalate my complaint to the appropriate department if necessary. I would appreciate a written response explaining how Booking.com intends to resolve this matter.
