The Space:
Settle into the Lower Keys lifestyle at Pirate Sunset, a 3-bedroom, 2-bath waterfront home on Little Torch Key where outdoor living is every bit as important as what’s inside. The salt ponds across the street create an open, natural backdrop for fabulous sunset views — a fitting highlight for a home named Pirate Sunset.
From coffee on the upstairs porch to afternoons on the water and sunset drinks before dinner at the outdoor bar, this home offers plenty of room to spread out, relax and enjoy a month or longer in the Florida Keys.
OUTDOOR LIVING
The upstairs porches feature two separate seating areas, giving you comfortable places to enjoy the morning air, unwind with a book or watch the evening sky come alive. With the salt ponds across the street rather than another row of homes, the view feels open and distinctly Lower Keys. Sunset is an event here, with vivid color stretching across the sky and reflecting over the ponds.
Downstairs, there’s even more room to gather. Generous seating creates a comfortable outdoor living and entertaining area, complemented by an outdoor bar and kitchen with a built-in KitchenAid grill. It’s an easy setup for grilling dinner, enjoying drinks outside or relaxing in the shade after a day on the water.
The property also has a screened porch, outdoor shower and fenced yard, giving guests several different outdoor spaces rather than one shared gathering area. Whether you’re looking for sun, shade, a quiet place to read or room for everyone to spend time together, there’s a spot for it here.
ON THE WATER
Bring the boat and make the most of the home’s quick access to open water. After a day of fishing or exploring the Lower Keys, clean the day’s catch at the fish-cleaning station with water and settle in for sunset drinks upstairs or dinner at the outdoor kitchen.
A substantial swim ladder provides convenient canal access for swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding. Downstairs, an extra refrigerator and bait freezers provide useful storage for drinks, provisions and the day’s catch. Boat and trailer storage, an RV hookup and additional downstairs storage provide room for the equipment and gear that tend to come along with an extended stay in the Keys.
INSIDE THE HOME
The open living, dining and kitchen area makes it easy to spend time together when you’re indoors. Comfortable furnishings, durable luxury vinyl plank flooring and plenty of natural light give the home a relaxed Keys feel.
The kitchen features quartz countertops, stainless appliances, an LG smart refrigerator and range and plenty of pantry and storage space — particularly useful when you’re staying for a month rather than a few nights.
The split-bedroom floor plan includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms and accommodates up to 8 registered guests. The spacious primary suite has an exceptionally large walk-in closet with plenty of room to unpack and settle in. One guest bedroom features a built-in queen Murphy bed with additional storage.
WORK FROM THE KEYS
One of the home’s best features for an extended stay is the separate canal-view office/flex space. It provides a dedicated place to work remotely, catch up on emails or find a quiet corner away from the main living area — and you still get a water view while you’re doing it.
Individual mini-split systems allow guests to adjust temperatures throughout the home. The washer and dryer are located downstairs, along with the extra refrigerator and bait freezers.
LITTLE TORCH KEY
Little Torch Key puts you in the heart of the Lower Keys, close to the shopping, restaurants and everyday necessities of Big Pine Key while still within easy driving distance of both Marathon and Key West.
Spend your days fishing, boating, kayaking and exploring the islands — or don’t go anywhere at all. Return from the water, pour a drink and settle onto the porch as the sun drops over the salt ponds. With memorable sunset views, easy access to open water and plenty of room to relax, Pirate Sunset is designed for enjoying the Keys at a slower pace.
