About this house rental

Birch Point 1 – Turtle-Flambeau Flowage Lakefront Retreat

Welcome to Birch Point 1, a spacious and beautifully appointed lakefront home located directly on the legendary Turtle-Flambeau Flowage in Mercer, Wisconsin. With incredible western-facing water views, direct access to one of northern Wisconsin's premier fishing and recreational waterways, and plenty of room to relax, this is a Northwoods getaway built for families, anglers, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone looking to spend some time on the water.

The home offers approximately 2,100 square feet of living space with 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and 1 half bathroom, providing a comfortable layout for your Northwoods vacation. Large lakeside windows bring the outdoors into the home and provide beautiful views of the Flowage throughout the main living areas.

One of the highlights of Birch Point 1 is its setting. The property is part of the Birch Point Lodge condominium community and sits along approximately 630 feet of shared shoreline on the Turtle-Flambeau Flowage. Guests have access to the association's private boat launch, shared sand beach, and waterfront area, making it easy to enjoy everything the Flowage has to offer.

LIVING AREAS

The main living area is open, bright, and designed around the lake views. Large windows and French doors face the water, while the gas fireplace creates a comfortable place to gather after a day of fishing, boating, snowmobiling, or exploring the Northwoods.

Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee, watching the weather roll across the lake, or settling in for an evening with family and friends, the main living space gives everyone room to spread out while still staying connected.

Upstairs you'll find an additional family room with lake views, providing a second living area that is especially useful for families or groups. It gives guests another place to relax without everyone having to gather in the same room.

KITCHEN & DINING

The full kitchen is well suited for everything from a quick breakfast before hitting the water to preparing a full family dinner. Features include granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a kitchen island, pantry, gas range, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher.

The dining area sits alongside large windows overlooking the lake, giving you a great view while enjoying meals together.

Instead of rushing out every morning, make some coffee, cook breakfast, and enjoy the scenery before deciding what the day has in store.

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS

The primary bedroom is conveniently located on the main floor and includes its own private ensuite bathroom. The primary bathroom features a walk-in tile shower, soaking tub, and walk-in closet, giving guests a comfortable private space at the end of the day.

The remaining two bedrooms are located upstairs, along with a full bathroom and the additional family room.

A separate half bathroom on the main floor provides additional convenience for everyone staying at the home.

This layout works particularly well for groups that want to spend time together while still having separate areas of the home for privacy.

LARGE ENCLOSED LAKESIDE PORCH

One of the home's standout features is the approximately 46-foot enclosed porch running along the home. Surrounded by the wooded Northwoods setting and lake views, it provides another place to sit back and enjoy the property.

It's a great spot for morning coffee, reading, relaxing after a day outdoors, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings without needing to go anywhere.

TURTLE-FLAMBEAU FLOWAGE

For many guests, the real attraction is right outside the door.

Birch Point 1 is located directly on the Turtle-Flambeau Flowage, a massive Northwoods water system known throughout the region for its scenery, fishing, islands, undeveloped shoreline, and miles of water to explore.

Bring your own boat and use the private association boat launch, then spend your vacation exploring the Flowage. A waterfront pier provides convenient access to the lake, while the shared sand beach gives guests another way to enjoy the shoreline.

The Turtle-Flambeau Flowage is especially well known among anglers, with opportunities to pursue species including musky, walleye, northern pike, bass, and panfish.

Even if fishing isn't on your agenda, there's plenty of water to explore. Spend the day boating, sightseeing, cruising the shoreline, or simply relaxing near the lake.

WESTERN WATER VIEWS & SUNSETS

The home's western exposure is another major part of the experience.

At the end of the day, come back from the lake, grab a chair, and enjoy the sun setting across the Turtle-Flambeau Flowage. Large lakeside windows mean you don't have to be outside to enjoy the view—you'll see the water from several areas of the home.

It is the kind of Northwoods setting where sometimes the best plan is having no plan at all.

YEAR-ROUND NORTHWOODS GETAWAY

Birch Point 1 isn't limited to summer vacations.

During warmer months, the Turtle-Flambeau Flowage is the main attraction, with boating, fishing, paddling, sightseeing, and days spent along the shoreline.

Fall brings cooler temperatures and some of the best scenery of the year as the Northwoods changes color.

Winter transforms the Mercer area into a completely different destination. Mercer is well known for its extensive snowmobile trail system, while ice fishing and other winter recreation provide plenty of reasons to visit after the lakes freeze.

After a cold day outdoors, come back to the comfort of central air/forced-air climate control, radiant in-floor heat in the main living area, and the gas fireplace.

ADDITIONAL HOME FEATURES

Birch Point 1 includes many of the conveniences that make longer stays easier, including central air conditioning, main-floor laundry with washer and dryer, dishwasher, gas range, microwave, pantry, ceiling fans, and a whole-house generator.

The combination of modern conveniences and a classic Northwoods waterfront setting makes the property comfortable without losing the lake-house atmosphere people come to Mercer to experience.

EXPLORE MERCER

When you're ready to leave the lake for a while, Mercer, Wisconsin offers restaurants, bars, shops, trails, and easy access to outdoor recreation throughout the surrounding Northwoods.

Known as the Loon Capital of the World, Mercer is surrounded by lakes, forests, and miles of recreational opportunities. Spend one day fishing the Flowage, another exploring the area, and another doing absolutely nothing except enjoying the cabin and the view.

YOUR NORTHWOODS VACATION STARTS HERE

Whether you're planning a fishing trip, family vacation, couples getaway, snowmobile trip, or simply a quiet week on the water, Birch Point 1 provides a comfortable home base in one of Mercer's premier waterfront locations.

With three bedrooms, multiple living spaces, a main-floor primary suite, large enclosed porch, beautiful western lake views, private association boat launch, shared beach, pier, and direct access to the Turtle-Flambeau Flowage, you'll have everything you need to settle in and enjoy the Northwoods.
