Best Western Hotel Universel Drummondville

Rooms were very spacious.

Bathroom was very tight. View from our room was very poor.

Clean, location and great pool

No microwave in room

This is a beautiful hotel right off the highway, so the location is excellent for travellers. I was exhausted when I arrived so my use of French (my second language) was worse than usual. The staff, both on the desk and in the restaurant, noticing I was struggling, immediately asked if I'd prefer to speak English. I particularly appreciated that they were willing to take the time while I stumbled through if I had wanted to practice; this is very kind and supportive. The room was large, very clean, the bed and pillows comfortable, The wifi worked great. The on site restaurant is excellent: great food and great service, along with quite lovely and, I think, original cocktail options. I recommend the cranberry mojito! Parking is plentiful, though a few extra handicapped spots wouldn't go amiss. The pool looked so inviting that I wished I'd brought a suit and the exercise room was well equipped. I marked the 'value for price' slightly lower than top marks but, to be fair, the hotel rates are very competitive. I'm just a bit staggered at what a room costs these days (double what it was two years ago when I was last physically able to travel).

Very clean hotel with nice comfortable beds

We had to wait 2 hours to access the parking lot due to a prom parade where dozens of cars were blocking access due to the parade. Hundreds of people were in the entrance making check in difficult. Then we were kept awake by drunken teenagers running up and down the halls until 3 am. Not our idea of a midway resting spot.
