This is an old-school motel that is excellent value for money. The staff are friendly, the rooms are no-frills, but are decent size and cover the essentials. Beds are very comfortable. Smitty's restaurant next door for breakfast and groceries across the street.
If you care about fresh paint and polished marble in the reception, or if you want something convenient to downtown halifax, you should probably go somewhere else. Parking is free, but a bit crammed on some nights.
