It was a 5 stars stay :)
The place is fantastic. We had planned to go to Forillon Parc but it was so good there that we gave up. We enjoyed the view while we had a snack prepared with a lobster bought in a nearby market. The children loved playing on the rocks. The service was excellent. Very kind and pleasant. The room (number 5) was spacious, clean, with good bedding and a beautiful view from the window. We simply loved this place!
It wasn’t uncomfortable for us, but there is no air conditioning.

Exceptional
Love the host James was fantastic. He provided us with a list of places to visit and he was very accommodating. The views from our bedrooms windows spectacular. I just wish we would have the time to do a fire by the beach.
I'm a big guy so the toilet were a bit small for my big frame. An elevate and elongated toilet would have been so much better. The shower head were also a bit too low.

Superb
Absolutely magnificant location and view on the shore of the St Lawerence. The walk on the beach in the early morning was superb and will get me back there again
We should have planned to spend more time at this spot

Wonderful Spot!
Our host was wonderful! Very warm and welcoming and his English was exceptional (though very patient with me as I practiced my French)! They even accommodated an unannounced early check in when we arrived earlier than expected! Rooms are basic but as advertised and certainly everything you need to have a comfortable night : comfortable bed, nice sheets, good water pressure with a hot shower and a small fridge with a coffee maker. We had supper on site and were quite thrilled by the food! We had just finished a 135km bike ride in the rain and devoured our 3 course supper. The smoked salmon dishes are not to be missed! Breakfast as the property was also delish! The location of the property is lovely and right on the ocean, had it not been pouring rain we certainly would have enjoyed sitting out on the lawn furniture for a beverage or two.

It is a good restaurant plus offering accommodation.
We do like the breakfast very much, which is so beautiful and delicious with special bonus, homemade sauce. It is so nice to have the breakfast there. It is a pity that we couldn't have dinner due to fully occupied already.
The room facilities are old and there is a tight space.

Cozy and clean room, delicious food in the restaurant and the warmest of welcomes
Exceptional place! The staff is very welcoming and generous, one feels at home. The window of my cozy and squeaky-clean room opened directly on St-Laurence river. The view and the proximity of the water made me dream about moving to Gaspesie, working from there and waiting for the birds and whales to make their playful appearance. I also dream of another dosage of the Gaspesian delicious (sea)food and breathtaking sunsets, both generously provided at the newly renovated and tastefully decorated Motel L'Étoile du nord. Fresh seafood is delivered daily and it is skillfully prepared at the motel's restaurant where you can enjoy the whales through the window (if you are lucky) and the art of the local painter Marc-Alain Marticotte displayed on the walls of the restaurant. If you are an early bird (I'm not), you can see and hear the local fishermen working relentlessly to provide the catch of day... that is if you wake up around 4am. :) I could have stayed in the motel for at least two more weeks without feeling bored. James and the wonderful people who work with him know all the hidden and not so hidden treasures of the area. They will be not only your hosts, your gourmet chefs, your baristas but also your indispensable local guides. Thank you for the wonderful time I had. Hope to see you guys soon! Antonia
No complaints except that I had to leave... :)
