Channel Road Inn, A Four Sisters Inn

Friendly and welcoming, it’s a pleasure to see Dominique who is helpful and charming. The breakfast is delicious.

The place is very nice and the staff is friendly. Delicious breakfast and good location with free and easy parking

Being an old building, the rooms are not soundproof and you can hear other’s rooms noises at times (e.g. someone taking a shower)

We liked everything, decor was beautiful, flexibility to spend time inside or outside the inn, a place that you felt you were cared for and no hassle to find parking.

Central air-conditioning so not able to change room temperature.

Charming old hotel. Great location. Well appointed clean room & bathroom. Delicious breakfasts. All day tea & coffee and lovely staff.

We would have preferred a room not on 3rd floor with no lift as we had so much luggage but none apparently available. The toilet cistern in ours & adjoining room were noisy and prolonged. We could choose when to flush but the next room woke us early with flushes & showers. Also - the fire alarm went off around 8.00am one morning. There were no notices posted about what to do in case of fire. We evacuated our room quickly using the “staff only” external exit but none of the 3 staff on duty seemed to know how to instruct us or indeed if there WAS a fire?? Fortunately it seems there was no fire but no trace of where or why the alarm was triggered. We think the management should put some safety procedures in place.
