We stayed at travel lodge by whyndam in sydney , we were told pool would be open, it was NOT, the arcade downstairs took our money but games didnt work, pool table was out of order , NO elevators worked , many ice machines not working!. Also our tub in our room was FULL of black mold shampoo was used.

Toilet leaked and bathtub had mold. Needed upgrading.

The check out receptionist was very pleasant. She listened politely while I voiced my complaint and apologized.

The location is dingy and dark as is the hotel. The parking lot was very dark. There's a bump on the entrance that made it difficult to get the luggage cart up and over. The room smelled so awful. The bathroom smelled like urine and the floor was sticky. The A/C didn't work efficiently, emitted a stale odor, and then smelled like it was burning so I turned it off. There was no TV remote. I called guest services, no answer. Called housekeeping,no answer. Called the general manager, no answer. Granted, it was around 9 pm, but guest services should have answered or at least returned my call. When I checked out, the response was that I should have gone to the front desk. Seriously?! No, they should have answered the phone or returned my call when they saw caller ID. Also, some child screamed off and on all night. AND, there were teenagers being rowdy and playing loud music. It was my worst lodging experience. Even though the receptionist was pleasant and apologized, she could have offered some sort of compensation. Oh, in addition, the chair upholstery was dingy and disgusting; I didn't even want to touch it. The hinges were rusty as well as the bathtub surround.

20 minutes to Newfoundland ferry. Amazing breakfast! Eggs, sausage, homefries, pancakes, cereals, bagels, etc.

Pool was unavailable. Shower was gross - not dirty but tiles we’re poorly re-grouted, rusty ceiling tiles, etc. Floors dirty.

The room was clean. Staff very nice

The swimming pool being renovated in july. Some of equipment in gym not working. Rusted. Then the game room machines not working we asked for our money back

Easy to find, Plenty of parking

Note on the desk at check in saying "pool closed until further notice" - this should be communicated BEFORE the guest arrives

No water in Shower Dirty walls and stained ceiling Dirty Curtains Disappointed in the Breakfast..went elsewhere. Waited 10 minutes to get checked in. No staff and General Manager ended up serving me after Saying Hellooo a few times.

There were stains all over our room. We booked here because of the pool which was closed the whole stay. Beds were comfortable but pull out couch was stained and mattress was completely worn out.

This is a long list The beds were horribly made The couch was stained. The nights were dusty The tub was not functional You had to hold the handle down on the toilet until everything went down. There was a brown liquid splatter on the wall above the headboard. The staff was not welcoming. My request to have my 2 rooms close was not met, there was an entire floor between them. The breakfast was not replenished enough. The 3rd floor smelled of sour milk The 2nd floor smelled of curry and body odor. The 1st floor smelled of weed. There were non guests using the pool. There was a girl blocking one of the back entrances to go outside and she was smoking a bong. The stairwells had garbage and hair balls on them, it's clear they are never vacuumed. There was vomit outside one of the entrances for our entire 2 night stay. Never seen one housekeeper. The ceiling was leaking on floor 2. One of our rooms had one lamp and the only ceiling light was right in front of the door, but our other room had 4 lamps. Some of the guests with children had no respect for the guests with none. Hollering and scream through the halls, running up and down them. We didn't dare use the pool area because of the cleanliness of the rest of the hotel. The online pictures are very deceiving. I really could go on. I will never stay in this Travelodge again. I really wish I had taken pictures of the garage in and outside of the hotel. Apparently nothing from learned from covid.
