Room was newly renovated.

Place was under construction, so very dusty.

The place was newly renovated. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The towels were rough. Although the room was newly renovated it didn't have a coffee maker or blow dryer etc.

Location, size and staff

Struggled with the TV not smart one and all Chanels needs subscribe. The playground equipment was too dirty. Wanted to keep the kids busy.

Overall, on a weekend during tourist season, it was all that was available with limited notice. Good location to get into Downtown, and close to the 401Hwy. The bed itself was comfortable, and the air conditioning system worked, so that was a positive! As well, the staff mbr who checked me in was friendly and pleasant.

Overall, for $300CAD, I would certainly expect more. That rate is comparable to the Hampton Inn ~900m away, and includes significantly more amenities and quality. The exterior is under significant construction, which is fine, however work starts quite early on Sunday morning. On check in, The staff explained that they were almost done renovating all the rooms to update them, and that I would be getting a newly completed room. The room itself is very "Spartan". Aside from a desk chair, a stained mini-fridge (with stickers from a local plumbing business on the front), a nightstand, and obviously the bed, there was limited furniture or space in the room. Things such as a working TV, WiFi, or nightstand lamps, were not included. After checking in, the staff mbr on duty kindly brought over a towel and cloth, which was great. That said, none were provided in room, and there were no additional ones available. All said, if this was a $90-$130, room, it would have been fine; as at that price you know what you're getting. But for $300, its poor value unfortunately.
