Friendly and courteous staff, spacious, clean, and a very comfortable room with Dove toiletries. The breakfast was good as well as the coffee! The hotel overall was very clean, up to date , and located well to getting back on the highway.
The high season rates everywhere.

We came by ferry and where on our way to gaspe.
We had a very nice cottage next to the motel/hotel, which made our one-night stay very comfortable. This area has many accommodations and is usually used for an one night stop during roadtrips or to overnight for the ferry. The view from the cottage is a field of grass with a playground for small kids and a nice guarded pool. The fenced pool is next to the road. Our kids loved the pool. And we had a great evening walk in the park and waterfall nearby.
The accommodations had two nice bedrooms and a practical kitchen with dining area. There were also picnic tables outside. We could park the car next to the cottage. Nice stop for families who are making a roadtrip and needing some space for children to play.
Most of the accommodations in Rivière the loup are directly near the road, which makes it easy to reach and park but not nice to look at. There are no whale watching operators anymore in Rivière du loupe.

The beds and linens were comfortable and they allow dogs for a fee.
The staff didn't have good communication. I used the messaging through booking.com to try and arrange a pet friendly ground floor room but no one responded. I called them to get confirmation of my ground floor room and they said it was what I had. When I arrived the staff had no record of the call or the pet at all. She suggested I was mistaken about calling but I found the call log in my phone. I did ultimately get the room I wanted without extra cost but it took an argument to get to that point. We also noticed a foul smell in the bathroom due to what I imagine is a plumbing issue. For the price (230), the service and room was not worth it.
