Room was so charming and full of character with claw foot tub and old hardwood floors. The space was tight, but it was workable for us. Although we did not use the common kitchen area, it is a very nice option for guests. Our breakfast at the café was tasty and presented very nicely.
The matress was not super comfortable, and the lightbulb in the bathtub area was not functioning properly...neither of these really affected our stay.

Allowed us to visit an area in NB that we had not seen before, including the Gaspe Peninsula. Very rural with lots of interesting architecture.
Unfortunately, the auberge was right on the main road through town and there is a commercial port just up the road so there was very heavy/noisy truck traffic beginning at 5am. Impossible to sleep in. Most of the rest of the day was lighter traffic. We also found out after we arrived that the restaurant was closed Sunday/Monday/Tuesday (the 3 days we were there) as the tourist season was over so only got to try it out Wednesday morning for breakfast. Otherwise, mostly fast food joints nearby.
