Good location near to Times Square. Rooms small but well equipped and space for luggage. Bathroom was clean and spacious enough for 2 of us. Given 2 comp drinks at the bar next door was nice but a shame the hotel didn’t have its own bar/restaurant facilities.
Extremely noisy on a night as no sound proof windows. Air conditioner was also noisy. Did let the hotel know we were visiting for a birthday but nothing extra was given (I know this isn’t a given but have received things from other hotel chains in the past and it really does make a difference). Beds are small, my 6’6 partners legs were hanging off the end but we managed.

Room was big and clean. Mattress was quite soft But still comfortable.
There wasnt much storage room. Maybe one more chest of drawers would help

The hotel is located in an old building whose guest rooms have been renovated. As a result, while the rooms themselves are fairly pleasant, the common areas feel dated and uninviting.
The elevators are clearly insufficient for the number of guests, so there are often long lines making it frustrating to get around the hotel.
Although the rooms have been updated, some of the building's age is still evident. The air conditioning system is extremely noisy, the old doors give the rooms a worn and neglected feel, and the shower has ridiculous poor water pressure.
Overall, the renovated rooms are comfortable enough, but the outdated infrastructure significantly detracts from the overall experience.
But what frustrates me most about American hotels is the so-called "resort fee." Whoever came up with both the concept and the name deserves little credit - it feels like an insult to guests' intelligence.
This fee is not a tax, it doesn't go to the staff, and it isn't optional. It's simply a way to increase the room rate without advertising the true price upfront. Hotels justify it by amenities that most guests would reasonably expect to be included anyway, such as Wi-Fi, access to the gym, bottled water, or luggage storage.
At this hotel, the resort fee is charged every single day, yet the only tangible benefit is one complimentary drink at the bar next door. I jokingly asked whether that meant one drink per day, since the fee is charged daily. Of course, the answer was no. In fact, I didn't even redeem the drink because I wasn't interested.
I find the entire concept of resort fees misleading, inelegant, and disrespectful to guests. If a hotel needs to charge more, it should simply advertise the real nightly rate honestly and transparently.

The hotel has a fantastic location for shows and major attractions. Despite being close to Times Square, the rooms were quiet and I heard no noise.
Rooms are clean and the reception area is welcoming. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the gentleman who greeted guests and handled luggage, making us feel very welcome.
Unfortunately, the rooms are extremely small, and we had to climb over our suitcases as there was nowhere to store them.
However, the biggest issue was how loud the air conditioning was. Whenever it switched on, it sounded like an alarm going off and made it very difficult to sleep. To be fair, the staff did try to resolve the problem by providing a mobile air-conditioning unit, but unfortunately this was just as noisy.
We were then moved to another room, but that also had a noisy mobile unit. We stayed for three nights and, unfortunately, hardly slept at all. The staff did their best to help, but the noise from the air conditioning really affected our stay
