Amazing place - I needed to change after my first night, and they did it really obligingly with no questions - into an apartment sized room - fridge, big chairs, double bed, great air con, shower was wonderful - only down thing as no microwave. Other than that, it was perfect and help yourself coffee and hot water downstairs! Was right next to the main road, but I kept the air con on all night, so didn't hear a thing! Needed to book a room for the next week, as I was returning from Mexico before flying home to Australia the next day - they gave me a VERY competitive room rate (we 'negotiated'), so that alone is enough to make me want to go back! Also, it is RIGHT round the corner from Union Station - you can see it from the front door, which was a HUGE drawcard, when I flew in from Mexico and didn't get to the hotel until midnight! They also hold your luggage for you after check out, until you need to go to your next spot.

I love that this hotel was night next to Union Station, making it perfect to travel by rail. The staff were just absolutely excellent and accommodated me with everything I needed. They were the best staff I’ve ever experienced at any hotel.
It’s an old and ugly hotel, it should be cleaner and needs a renovation, but they had ice and water which was a great help during a hot day.

The staff is great. The property is located within walking distance of the Amtrak station. Restaurants are located near by as well. You can walk to City Hall as well. The LA Metro is located in the Amtrak station, so that is very convenient as well.
This is an older property, however they are currently renovated the property. I would stay at this location again.
