Good value and service in Mountainview

The location was very good for our short visit to Mountainview and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The property seems to have been recently upgraded significantly. The bathrooms were equipped with a very nice shower. The breakfast was good though limited in selection. Parking was good and secure. Good value for the price we paid.

We found that the windows let in a fair amount of noise from passing vehicles on the street and conversations of guests in the hallways. The breakfast room was a bit small and on one morning it was "taken over" by a group of guests so that other guests had difficulty accessing the coffee dispenser and other items.

Best hotel shower I ever had. Great firm mattress. Room needed a little airing out. Otherwise would absolutely stay again.

It was fine. We were not dissatisfied.

The room had an interesting odor, not a bad odor, but different - maybe cleaning chemicals? The shower door was off it’s track and I had to put it back on.

Tight, Overly Bright, and relatively cheap.

It was a decent price for the location. We just needed a one night stay.

The rooms are pretty small. We had a hard time even finding the floor space to lay down the 4 suitcases we had with us. They could do to remove one of the big pieces of furniture. The Window treatments are pretty terrible and don't block out much light. Additionally they seemed to have extremely bright lights posted RIGHT infront of the window. I woke up at 2am, and thought it was 7am in the morning. SUPER bright. The window curtains don't go up very high, and there isn't a cornice box, or anything else to block out the light.

Great value

All newly updated - stunning shower (although the bathroom is tiny). There was free parking, continental breakfast (better than most) and Wi-Fi.

Only downside was the rooms open to the parking lot. (It’s an old ‘motor hotel’) But it’s tucked in off the road and felt safe.

Noise from El Camino Real! They could get egg Crete toppers to make the bed more comfortable!

Nice stay comfortable stay in a quiet location

Nice location. Friendly staff. Good communication. Easy access.

I could not connect my laptop to Wi-Fi. I tried their 800 number and I could not connect to the IT support group. I had to use my iPhone as a hotspot to access the internet. Also the room curtains do not keep outside light from coming in at night. My room was fairly bright at night as my room was near an outside light. I prefer to sleep in dark rooms. I can live with the light, but the Wi-Fi was problematic for me.

this hotel has great reviews - that’s why I booked it. reviews seems to be total fake. it’s classical cheap motel, with slightly dirty bed sheets. breakfast is exceptionally bad, only - apples, yogurt, bread, cereal, coffee. I wouldn’t call it breakfast- it’s snacks. rooms are very dark, tv has no use, didn’t work. location is ok but there are a lot of better places in this area

Well placed, well priced.

The room is cheap, clean and within walking distance of restaurants, bars and with a bit of effort also shopping. This is not to be underestimated, as the urban planning of American cities, and the placement of motels especially so, strongly favours automobility as the sole method of getting around. Especially the bath room is good, with a shower proper instead of a bath tub. Also, the shower has a rainfall head, which is always appreciated.

The breakfast is definitively underwhelming. Would appreciate an opt-out, which if I remember correctly was not marketed.

Over all the stay was very good. We will return if we are in the area.

The room was clean and recently renovated.

The pillows were not good. Breakfast could be better like some instant oatmeal, bananas.etc.

I would stay here again if I have business in Mountain View. For business travel, they said everything I needed.

conveniently located - restaurants, Starbucks, many shops nearby. I needed to get in quickly, get some rest, and get out & get out my workday. Perfect for that situation. Had work meetings over zoom with no problem. sort of picky about having a comfortable bed and I was very pleased. Shower was awesome. It’s a small property and that made everything easier as well with plenty of parking.

Small amount of road noise in the AM and daytime, but I had earbuds, so it never caused me a problem. Road noise was not an issue at night.

If your goal is reserving a room that's simple and inexpensive, this property checks those boxes.

Clean rooms, nice quiet environment. Great place to get in and lay your head down, so you're off to sleep.

Breakfast is very basic, which might be considered the minimum effort to be considered a breakfast.

absolute amazing and high value for the money

conveniently located, nice, modern rooms. The bathrooms are awesome! and better, nicer, cleaner than in any other motel/hotel on our trip (whether it was Holiday Inn, Best Western, you name it) very friendly staff

depending on the other guests and location towards the street it can get loud….. like in any motel.

Very good

Great location. There are many restaurants around the hotel within 10 minutes by walk. The room was clean and the bathroom was really new.

Bit chemical smells in the room. But, when opening the door/window for 30minutes, smelles were gone.

Decent no frills place to stay

Clean room with comfy bed and a good shower.

The walls are thin and noise insulation from traffic on El Camino was lacking. The lighting was a bit harsh and blue tinted.

it does have nice amenities

It does have a strong odor once you enter and stays with you for awhile. The staffer at check in was a bit rude and got a bit personal on some of the analytics on why there is cameras and how many people I plan on having over. Felt like I was being interrogated by a cop when told her I might have 1-3 visitors stopping by for a dinner or outing meetup. I only had 1 stop by and met the others at the bar but overall it was rude and unprofessional. she mention covid being one of the reasons but yet wasn’t wearing a mask when I check in. def felt judge and as if she thought I was having a party or something and made the stay start to a bad foot.
