I came to Grand Rapids from northern Michigan for an important medical appointment and spending the night at Spark Hilton brought much happiness. The property was sparkling clean and lovely. I appreciated the cozy room, the bountiful tasty breakfast inside the dining room, the adorable coffee station, the sitting area in the lobby, the refreshing swimming pool and the pleasant garden outside the pool area. The staff was kind. Casey and Brenden at the front desk were wonderful and made me feel welcome. I'm also forever thankful for being able to check out a bit later.
I wanted to ride the stationary bicycle inside the fitness center but the bicycle seat was loose and I couldn't sit on the seat. Brenden contacted maintenance to fix it which was awesome of him but I had to pack and leave soon after so I didn't have a chance to ride the bicycle. It okay though because everything else was so great.

The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Also in a decent location. Could’ve been cleaner but overall not too bad.
The photos absolutely did not match what I encountered. The shower was an outdated capsule, the shower head was dirty and rusty. Manager blamed it all on Booking and Hilton but they know exactly that they’re doing false advertising. The beds also weren’t Queens, they were full-sized.

staff was very nice about the complications we ran into.
we had been split into two rooms, one room smelled bad and our other room did not have a shower head and the toilet would not flush. we let front desk know and nothing was done until 30 min. before we had to check out. we were told the general manager would follow up with us but we heard nothing. to be honest staff look very overwhelmed, it seemed there was only one staff member doing everything at any given point.
