The location was awesome. The scenery was just as good. The Manoir was full of antiques.
The only disappointment was that there was no on-site restaurant. But there was a very good restaurant 5 km from the manoir.

The reviews and great price were what drew me to Manoir des Lacs and I was delighted with it. It was a little off the beaten track but not hard to find. It was super easy to check in and Dan the host was lovely and friendly. The room (part of a classroom--the building was an old school) was very nice and comfortable. There's a lake across the street and I even had a quick swim before bed. Breakfast was hot and delicious--cooked by Dan and his wife.

David was the most welcoming person we ever meet. David's cheerfulness and good mood made our day but most important is that he makes you feel like home. We highly recommend this place not only for the people but also because how this place was reinvented by David.

Breakfast was excellent and the young lady was delightful. She also, checked us in the night before.
The experience was unique. The area is beautiful, however not enough time to explore.
We feel the bathroom with the clawfoot tub is not compatible with older folk. Nothing to grab onto while showering. Some type of diffused lightening for bathroom visits. Perhaps a digital clock for nighttime waking. Perhaps some lighter paint when doing your next update.
