Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Amarillo South by IHG

I really like that we were able to get on the highway to head to our next destination. The front desk person was also very kind and attentive.

When I book a hotel I always look for a hot tub and free breakfast. The hot tub was not working. If I would have known that I would have chosen a different location. I wish there was a way to know if those are not working before booking.

The staff were very friendly, The front desk staff were very helpful and polite. The room was very nice the breakfast was quite nice as well. The house keeping staff was friendly and polite as well. Great location for our visit.

The fitness room smelled like mold, the ceiling in the breakfast area closest to the swimming pool area has water damage and open holes with brown stains around it. The hot tub was broken and the water in it was green. Before we left for the day to visit family we put the door tag in our room so the staff could clean and change towels and linen, (they were loading the carts for cleaning when we left) , when we came back that evening there was another tag hanging on the out side of the door as well as the one inside and nothing had been cleaned in the room. When I took the used towels and cloths to the front desk they said house keeping had told them we were still in the room when they came to clean it. (Wrong)

Room was great. A c worked great in our room. Breakfast was very good and plenty of selections.

Air conditioning was out in the lobby hallways and breakfast area made it uncomfortable.

Good location!
