The location is excellent, we loved the balcony over looking the Gulf. The room was bare minimum but we felt a great size especially for 2 people. The staff is friendly and helpful and helped us book an additional night! You cannot beat the price for a location on the beach like you have at the Beachcomber. The pool is nice but the beach is amazing.
It's in need of lots mechanical repairs on the property and in the rooms. A ton of money is going down the drain literally from leaking bath faucets. The grounds and rooms need a deep cleaning and sprucing up. Though it's understandable to not have a lot of kitchen utensils, there should at least be a toaster, wine/bottles opener, real knives, can opener etc. A slight upgrade needed in that area. It's evident that there's not much money going back into keeping this place basically maintained and more presentable. It really has the potential to be a cool retro hotel if brought to a better level of care and presentation. But for the price and the great location and staff, it can't be beat and we would definitely stay there again.

The beachcomber was close to everything.
It’s definitely an outdated property, however, the price is fair for the condition.
