Room was very clean. Staff was helpful. The location is absolutely amazing. We walked to broadway and most places in the loop. To go shopping in Michigan avenue it was about a 10 min uber. Restaurant in the building is really good
Rooms are smaller compared to other JW Marriott, likely because it is an old building. But they were still comfortable and clean. Staff charged me a different rate than what I paid for in booking and then said I had to figure it out with Booking. So in that sense not very helpful.

The room was comfortable as was the bed.
We had a room with a courtyard view as opposed to a city view. The price should have included a view.

Good size room with plenty of room to seat 4(had a nice long chaise at end of bed. Very clean!

There is a resort fee that if you eat at the hotel you get half of it back. But you must charge to your room.

the staff was very responsive and the service was friendly and quick, including room service. a bathroom issue was attended to very quickly. the bed was impressively comfortable, including the sheets and pillows. the lighting in the bathrooms was great and the 15X magnifying mirrors a rare blessing. the shower was very generously sized and the bathtub, luxuriously large and filled rapidly [we had a suite]. the room was whisper quiet despite the hotel looking full. zero street noise.
this is an expensive hotel and an expensive suite yet there wasn’t one comfortable piece of furniture in it. in the living room, the sectional felt like it came from ‘big lots’ with rough fabric and inadequate depth, except for the chaise part. one big armchair was impressively hard and grossly uncomfortable. no stool. lounge at your own risk. the arm chair and stool in the bedroom must have been ordered out of a catalog without anyone having sat in it…the arms are too low and the back too straight for comfortable lounging. no minibar. do not expect any art on the wall as what’s there might qualify as decor but not even nice decor. the toilet seats slammed down with a bang. not to be snotty but i expect soft close hinges at a luxury hotel.
