Best Western Plus Truckee-Tahoe Hotel

It was a very clean and spacious. The pool and hot tub were very impressive. The breakfast and stores were the best I've ever seen in a Best Western. We will be back.

The room rate was high, and parking was an extra charge which felt excessive

The breakfast offered was a nice selection. There was warm, quick, and healthy food options enjoyed by all ages. The coffee machine was amazing. I enjoyed my strong latte's each morning. Yogurt and granola hit the spot along with a breakfast burrito. My husband enjoyed the crisp bacon, eggs, and potatoes. The King size bed was comfortable with a variety of pillows. We appreciated the refrigerator/freezer in the room. Maintaining the room temperature to our liking was easy. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and central to our travels. We would stay there again.

The parking could be improved. There is limited parking in front of the building and a lot more in the back. Not the easiest but do able. The charge of $15 per vehicle each day is excessive. I understand they are wanting to match rates in LA and put expenses towards snowplowing in the winter; however, I was visiting Truckee, CA in June not LA or in the winter. The gal adjusted my charge to one day only. A charge for one day only is acceptable not each day we are there. The sale of snacks in the room was expensive and took up valuable space above the microwave. Selling snack foods and soda pop that is overpriced in the room was not appreciated. If we wanted it, we would go to the hotel store. Coffee machine in the room was hard to operate even with directions on the machine. Glad the hotel offers other decent caffeine options. Dish TV is awful.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a huge variety and healthy options.

The bathroom fan runs continuously without any shut off switch. Shower was lukewarm at best. Blanket was thin like a sheet so I had heat set to 70 trying to warm up from a day skiing, cold shower and now this. Room was extremely dark even with every available light on.
