Please understand that I was looking for an inexpensive hotel for my dog and me for one night. This was not a luxury spa hotel. Which reminds me that you should remember to bring your own soap; there was none in the bathroom. My dog felt very comfortable and it is a quick drive to Verdugo Park which was a good walk for her. And easy parking.

I really like this place! The area is convenient. There’s a Starbucks and McDonald’s about a 7–10 minute walk away, which is super helpful. It’s a small, family-owned motel and you can tell they take good care of it. The owners (a husband and wife) are very nice and welcoming.
Late Check-out is at 11:30, which gives you a little extra time, and the deposit is only $50, which is reasonable.
One of my favorite parts is the park nearby… just about a 3-minute walk from the motel! It’s a regular park (not a dog park), but if it’s not crowded, it’s a nice spot to bring your dogs and let them run around.
There are others Motel 6 that’s a little cheaper, but I think this one is priced a bit higher because of the area, around $100-something a night while others can go for about $70.

The room was ok….some areas like the floor were not clean. Location was good, room was private. Housekeeping staff was nice.
Staff at front desk(owners) could be very difficult to deal with. Sometimes making it difficult and stressful when I had to extend my stay, I was looking for an apartment in the area and stayed over a week. I had to give a $50 security deposit which I still have not gotten back despite my room being inspected at check out and everything was fine in my room. Definitely felt very stressed, always having woman at front desk talking about my room changing to a smoking room every time I extended, and I have trouble with stairs because of my back and knee and needed the ground floor. It was difficult to make this woman understand that I could not manage stairs. This woman was rude to me generally and very unpleasant. Was very happy to leave and I don’t recommend for stays over a day or two.
