The front desk reception was very friendly, kind and helpful! This is not the highest rated hotel that we have stayed in but the location close to Redwood National Parks was excellent! We made reservations last minute and were happy to find this nice hotel that met our traveling needs. We needed a cozy room with a comfortable bed that covered the basics, mini-fridge, microwave, nice hot shower. Each day we got up early, explored, hiked and biked the Redwoods all day and came back late and only needed a place to rest. We had no problem bringing in our bikes at night, so we didn't have to worry about safety concerns. We'd come back and stay here again!
We knew this would NOT be a brand-new hotel and we anticipated the furnishings to be dated, and since we didn't spend much time in the room, that didn't bother us. If you're looking for a new, pristine, sleek or chic hotel, this isn't for you. If you're fine with the basics, vintage, well-worn but good hotel, this one's fine! Again, we made last minute reservations, while we were driving to the Redwoods from Washington, so we were happy to find this comfortable hotel.

Reasonably priced compared to other accommodations in the area. Not far from Danny's and Paragon coffeehouse. Paragon is a popular place and gets crowded early. Walking distance.
The room stayed at a warm temperature which suited me well since the evenings were cold on the coast.
This is a pretty old hotel. We COULD NOT check in earlier than 2pm. The bed was stiff and uncomfortable. Room was right behind the Taco Bell drive thru. I could hear everyone's orders.
The online pictures look NOTHING like the real thing.

Did not try any breakfast. I got this place accidentally because of a confusing listing of Booking.com. The desk person seemed sympathetic but could not do anything, I had already paid. The room was clean and good for a night's sleep.
The bathroom door would not close, since it was misaligned. That was the only negative.
