The historic piece. We stayed in the motel type rooms which was dated, but lean and comfortable. The pub was convenient and food was ok. The bakery lady and the complimentary coffee and pastry were lovely. And, the gardens were fantastic!!
The dated shower/bathroom, but clean and tolerable. Not a deal breaker though.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious, well equipped, clean and the beds are very comfortable. Extremely quaint, decor keeping the Old English style, but with all the modern day coveniences and perfectly maintained. The patio, looking into the forest, was a pleasant surprise. The Bake Shoppe provides wonderful takeaway cooked meals, if you don't want to make use of the restauarnts on the premises.
The bathroom is a little snug, door doesn't pass too far from the toilet, so you need to step aside to open and close the door and get to the shower.

The room was large and comfortable, and a great value. We also enjoyed the pastries and coffee/tea in the morning. What a great bakery.
