The location was great. Short 5-10 minute walk from everything, but far enough away for peace and quiet. It was quaint and perfect for a couple on a weekend getaway. I think we may have been the only ones there , which made it seem like our own personal hotel.
The only negative thing was the shower was extremely small, like taking a shower in a phone booth, but honestly it didn't bother me too much, since we were only there for a couple of nights. Not for those who demand a ton of amenities , but that's not us. We found the simpleness charming. It wouldn't keep me from staying there again. We'll definitely stay there again.

The major benefit is the location between Royal & Bourbon streets towards the top end. The room was very clean with excellent bed linen. The cleaner was great and the lady at check-out (!) helpful & professional.
At this member of the group check-in is unmanned. Check-in apparently can be done digitally but it didn't seem to work when I tried. Otherwise it's a 3/4 block walk to the site with manned check-in.
The room was big enough and thus had plenty of space for a fridge if not a microwave. If television viewing was desired there were very limited options

Cozy, very comfortable for the price. The staff went above and beyond when we arrived and we couldn’t get in the building or our room.
After the first day of walking around we came back to our room that night and had a HUGE RAT run right in front of us from being by the door to under the lattice work.
It would also be really nice to have a mini fridge so we can keep drinks cold that we buy and food good so we don’t waste it.
