In the week and a half since I had booked it this property decided to start charging for parking. In the end I was able to negotiate to pay half price for that, but I wasn't happy about it. The room door, #407, fit poorly and sometimes was very hard to open from inside, despite abundant light leaks and air leaks all around the door. The room was reasonably clean though when we moved the bed there was a lot of dirt and debris that was unseen until I moved the bed. The room had a peculiar musty moldy smell every time we entered, although with time in the room you didn't notice it. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was nice, the hallways had rubber carpet runners thrown down on them but not attached and those were a trip hazard. Their TV situation is curious, you have a smart TV but have to enter your own passwords and login in order to access any channels or see any TV using your own service. It's obviously an older property that's been basically refurbished, but some of the cracks are showing.
We were there 4 days, were told at checkin that 'due to Covid' they only clean rooms every 2nd day. But we never had any maid service at all, and I even had to take our trash out myself.
Also, the toilet was mis-set and made loud clunks and crashes whenever used.
