What a pleasant surprise! I visit relatives in Marion a few times a year, so I’ve stayed in several 2-3 star hotels in the area. Labor Day weekend 2026 was my first stay at Baymont and I’ll definitely be back. It was by far the best as far as cleanliness, comfort and service. Valerie and her team at reception went out of their way to accommodate my needs and special requests. My queen bed room was spacious. The entire property is well renovated and clean (no weird carpet/air fresheners masking odors (?) like in most neighboring hotels). The mattress appeared to be new and was comfortable. The A/C worked well and wasn’t noisy. The furniture isn’t beautiful, but it’s clean and functional. Thanks again, Valerie and the Baymont team!
The only thing lacking was protein choices at breakfast, but this is a minor point in my book.

Comfortable clean room
The breakfast could use some work. The waffle batter tasted awful as if it were expired or just low quality. The paper coffee cups were so cheap that the coffee would soak through and drip/spill. These issues made us skip breakfast for 2 of the 3 days we stayed there.
