The location was great for me, a quick hop from where I spent most of my time (West Asheville). Breakfast was nice, everything hot (scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage) was freshly made and plentiful.
Since it is an older hotel, there was still a faint smell of cigarette smoke in the room.
