A pleasant surprise in Danbury

The restaurant was a relevation. The food was excellent. It is rare to find such first class service and first class food in a small town hotel

Stylish and comfortable

I wish the windows could be cracked for fresh air (but that’s my standard hotel complaint). I was there on Memorial Day and the restaurant was understandably closed, which made me sad :-( because I’ve stayed here before and know how good it is). BUT I had a great meal down the street at Brasitas so all was well.

Probably one of the better options in North Norwalk

The location was convenient.

The King Room was a little weird. The Tv was attached to the bed, so there was no escaping a TV if that was not your thing. The room is a bit oddly decorated, kinda. like a bad 70's artist. No bar of soap in the bathroom is annoying. They only had shower gel soap which is a body wash that is not real soap! The walls seemed a little thin in terms of hearing our neighbors. However, we brought a white noise machine that solved that issue.

nice hotel but noisy

it was modern, clean and the staff was friendly.

it was really really loud and hard to get a good nights sleep. First there was the train going by right outside the room. Then the people around and above me that made a lot of noise late at night and early in the morning. The people in the room above me sounded like a herd of elephants. Lastly there was a party on Saturday night and the music could be heard through out the hotel including my room

Very nice, cozy hotel. Absolute value for money.

Wehn we arrived we were a bit sceptical when looking at the outsie. But as soon as we entered the building the positive vibes were there. Very nice lobby, with a large lobbyroom adjacent to it where one can sit in peace and read or work (as we did). Free coffee, fruits, etc were available there. The windows to the back of the hotel were amazing with nice trees and a small river. The restaurant with bar next to this sitting area was cozy with good quality. We had a nice dinner there and the staffing was impeccable.

Not much to improve actually.

There are no

I woke up this past Friday morning to find that there were dead bugs and bug body parts all over the sheets. I immediately called the front desk distressed as I sent multiple photos to friends who said they looked liked bed bugs. Someone from the front desk came down and came down and acknowledge there were bugs on the sheets and took photos. I was so horrified I didn’t inspect under the mattress and told the front desk person I was too afraid to look. After leaving the room at 7:30am, I was told a manager would get back to me . No one should wake up in a hotel to that many bugs if it was inspected the day before. I had gotten in late that night and had left three duffel bags on the bed and wanted the hotel to cover the cost of having them professionally cleaned. The manager was very disrespectful, dismissive, and rude when I asked for a full refund for the hotel room and said because the room was inspected by an inspector who said they found no evidence of bugs/bed bugs/bug body parts, they would not refund me. To wake up and see that many dead bug legs and body parts was psychologically stressful. It was a completely inappropriate upsetting experience that I hope no one else ever has to endure. So now I have to pay out of pocket to have my belongings cleaned.
