We have been staying at this hotel for many years. Love the mid-century aesthetic and its location in charming downtown Corning.

The food (we ate dinner at the restaurant) seems to have gone downhill. :( Rooms still nice, even during renovation, though one of the lights in the room didn’t work, nor did the gizmo for charging electronic devices.

Location was perfect.

We went to our room after check in and there was someone in our bed. Had to go to check in to get another room.

The carpets very dirty. I can send fotos. The entrance door area dirty and loaded with trash. The staff in the "morning - restaurant " VERY UNFRIENDLY, serving with hands in the pocket, no clean and exceptionelly bad trained :-((((

The service of the restaurant staff - with exception of Damien - was badly trained and did not observe cleanliness and sterile serving methods ( hands/fingers in cups and glasses ). Bad, bad, bad - also the management of the Hotel has to be blamed for selecting such bad staff. Hands in the trousers, when serving guests. BAD !!!!
