Great location. Ok breakfast but get there early or late as the breakfast area gets crowded
Bathroom was a bit awkward - toilet was right next to the door. Above-toilet shelf was ready to fall off the wall.
Breakfast area set-up was hard to navigate when there’s a line of people.

I felt right at home here; it was like staying in a little village. Trees line the private road that runs between the two rows of bungalows (most of which have two units). Festive lights are strung across the road, so it’s especially welcoming at night. In front of each bungalow are tables, chairs, and/or benches.
My room had an additional window in the little kitchen area (microwave, fridge, and a tall table/counter with stools), though some rooms have extra storage space in that area—handy if you bring your own bikes, I imagine.
There was a buffet breakfast in the lovely lodge each morning, and I loved that you could also eat your breakfast on the front porch (or have a drink out there in the evening). The little hard boiled eggs were especially delicious!
There are lots of great touches and amenities here, including a selection of bikes available to borrow, a pool, very reasonably priced laundry facilities, and an ice machine. Plus there’s live music several nights a week!
The location is wonderful; you’re close to Garden of the Gods, Pike’s Peak, and lots of other natural attractions, as well as Manitou Spring and Colorado Springs.
Being able to park right in front of my bungalow was very convenient because I was about to return my rental car and needed to completely empty over two months worth of accumulated stuff and clean the car!

I loved the vibe in this funky, retro resort. They had a lot of bike- and music-related events during our stay. I would recommend it for a short stay in a great location.
I didn't like that there were no bedside lamps or lights. The room had no place to store our things, just folding luggage racks and a bar with hangers. The room had a little bar height table with 2 stools, and that became our storage. Their brochure said they would clean the room and change the sheets after 3 days for longer stays like ours. That didn't happen. And if you didn't hold the toilet flush lever down until everything spiraled down the drain, it was like not flushing at all.

The whole throwback vibe was incredible. The room was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was good too.
