Unique stay with lots of kitsch

We stayed in the Rail Car. It was super cute with lots of railway specific decor. Close to town and the Grand Canyon which was our reason for the trip. Very friendly staff and made for an experience with the unique items they have. It was quiet. Parking right in front of the rail car. Good value for the cost.

Lighting was limited/dimmer than would have liked. There was a tube of toothpaste left in the bathroom and there were some nerds candy on the floor in one area.

I think this would be a better place to stay during warmer months.

Cute place

Absolutely no heat! The unit on the wall doesn’t work. It snowed the night we stayed & we were miserably cold. We came in late and didn’t have a way to notify the front desk as they were closed. I requested the railroad car when I made the reservation but was put in one of the rock houses upon arrival with no explanation in the envelope in the late check in box.

Le personnel est gentil

Le lieu est enneigé (depuis plusieurs jours) glissant boueux. L'accès n'est pas dégagé du coup Pas de place pour garer le véhicule. Le railcar est froid il est sale. Taches miettes sur la moquette et la literie . L'équipement est vieux. Le canapé lit est dégoûtant. Ca ne sent pas bon et il n'y a pas d'eau chaude pour se doucher. On a dormi en couvrant les enfants avec les serviettes de douche en plus des vêtements et des fines couvertures. La glace est dans le railcar aux fenêtres. Le laundry est sale les machines sont sales et je ne parle même pas des sanitaires attenants.... vraiment on voulait une nuit insolite mais nous n'avons pas fait le bon choix pour le lieu. J'avais lu des avis négatifs mais vraiment je ne pensais pas que ça pouvait être tant vrai. Je suis désolée de n'avoir en conseil pour les autres voyageurs que de leur dire de fuir ce lieu!

Beautiful but disappointing with new management

We love the nostalgic feel and it’s always clean.

They need to be better prepared especially knowing snow is coming. We had NO help from the motel people at all except to borrow a few shovels. The snow plow truck was not working well so we had no option but to shovel ourselves out for almost 2 hours. The management didn’t come out and check or talk to us until at least an hour after we began. We will definitely continue to stay here because we love it but may second think doing so during winter :(

Cool Train Rooms!

Great place! Stay in the train! Such a cool room. :)

A little chilly in the bathrooms of the train rooms as they are near the doors so anyone showering must wait for people to go in or out the main door before exiting the shower stall by the door. Still Very Cool Stay! Would do it again. :) Just be prepared for an ackward shower experience. 😄

Lovely motel, would stay there again.

Lovely vintage motel. Simple, clean and quiet surroundings. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was nice that they offered a variety of sundries in the shop and with reasonable prices.

The cable/satellite for the tv was a fuzzy connection, so, we did not watch any tv. Not necessarily a dislike, it just was poor reception.

The staff was nice.

The pictures online looked nice. Unfortunately pictures are deceiving. The rv park looks run down. The railroad car room was tiny with no real windows to see outside. Instead of a cheap curtain on the tiny window, blinds would have been nicer. Even cheap blinds. You couldn't move or open the curtain.The shower was typical of an older rv shower. We didn't use it The deck desperately needed refinishing. The carpet between the bed and the ac was wet and smelled weird. I had to put towels down. The carpet should be removed. Vinyl flooring would be better. We were very disappointed. What sounded like a fun experience was a bust. Stay in Williams. In town you can take a walk and enjoy the outdoors.

Very stylish accomodation in the green wagon, we were absolutely satisfied. It was cool I can recomand.

Pool could be a bit warmer but that is nothing which could stop us swim there :)) (end of October)

Unique stay - I’d definitely stay here again!

This place was one of a kind! The room was exactly as described and we really had a great time! The shower was by the entrance door - which may be slightly weird if you aren’t super comfortable with the people you are staying with - but otherwise, it was really great!

Parking for check in was a bit far away - but there were signs indicating where to go!

IIt was just a brief overnight stay.

The bed was very comfortable, The air conditioning worked well. A small refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot were in the room.

My family has been staying there for decades and it's always been a cute and cozy place. We have stayed there with our dogs and now they don't allow dogs. They have filled the place up with motor homes and trailers so it's really lost it's cuteness and coziness, iIt is like staying in a big parking lot.

Super cool spot with vintage train car rooms

The caboose was extremely cool to stay in

It snowed and the stairs and parking spots were covered by snow which was dangerous bring in the bags at night

upon check in, they wouldn’t let me in without a mask. and then upon check out, the staff had no masks and did not bother me about having to wear one. did not like or appreciate the inconsistency.

Everything was very clean. I also loved how the whole atmosphere vibe

I think the only thing would be the shower was a bit too small for me. But it wasn’t a BIG deal.
