The Fontaine

Property is on a great location in the plaza. There is a sophisticated feel about the premises. The beds are extremely comfortable and the shower/bathroom is terrific. I also wanna comment that the woman that served us at the pool bar was one of the best servers I’ve ever had.

I was there to celebrate my daughter-in-law‘s 30th birthday. There was a lot of loud laughter and comments in the hallway on all three nights we were there. Additionally, there was a strong smell of marijuana smoke in the later part of the evening, all three nights. The valet service is very slow and lack personality. The pool is too warm… Granted it’s been very warm in Kansas City, but there should be cold water pumped in in the evenings to keep the temperature refreshing. The pool is too small for the volume of gas that are there.

The staff was phenomenal. Without exception, staff members were welcoming and helpful.

The food and coffee were disappointing

Nice location and has parking ramp. Lovely hotel.

We arrived and the lady at the check in counter was on the phone with the police about an inebriated lady that needed escorted out. The police showed up and the lady was yelling in the lobby, not complying. The room was nice, bed was comfortable, shower was big. Didn’t sleep well because there was loud banging noise all night as if we were next to a loud elevator. While checking out, I asked if our room was by an elevator or something that would make a loud banging noise like that and was told no but there were stairs farther down. I don’t feel as it was worth the price I paid for the room at all.
