The cleanliness of the hotel. The cleaning staff did a great job on our room when requesting a tidy up. It was in walking distance to shopping options. We loved the indoor and outdoor pool options.
The jacuzzi had some yucky debris floating in it one day we were there.

It was very convenient and close to the parks and restaurants. The pools are open late so the kids had fun playing in the evening while I got to relax at the hot tub.
The front desk lady was very nice so nothing against her however we stayed for 5 nights and not once did room service come and clean the rooms. We had to ask for clean towels since they didn’t come to clean or drop any off. We are a family of 5 so trash was accumulating and we had to ask one of the housekeepers walking by the room to please take a couple boxes and bags of trash.

Very good hotel, clean, good indoor and outdoor pool, walking distance to restaurants, great location. Very good breakfast, personal was very nice! Pet friendly.

Bed was very comfy, the cleaning staff was wonderful, room was quiet and clean
The pools, both inside and outside, were photographed so well in the hotel's photos that they really let us down in person. They were very small, and you have to walk across the concrete parking lot in order to approach the outside one. Plus, the outside pool was right next to the road.
In addition, any time I spoke with reception about a problem with our reservations, I got lukewarm responses and no help. They said I needed to talk to booking.com, where I originally got the reservations. I called booking.com and booking said they would call the hotel headquarters to see if they approved any change. I soon got an email basically saying Wingate never responded, so I need to talk to them myself. However, I had already talked to them at reception. It was a headache.
Finally, the breakfast was uninspired. I have no idea how it was voted "best in the Dells." The same breakfast spread is offered at any other mid-range hotel we've patronized.
