Absolutely wonderful first time! We will stay here again.

This was our first visit to the White Rose Inn, and also our first stay at any "bed & breakfast" style accommodation. It exceeded our expectations. Lovely views from the "Maids Quarter" room. The room was huge and felt very homey. Yummy breakfast, plenty of protein options. Excellent off-season prices. Perfect location right by the river, but just off the main stretch. Everything was clean, and both the morning and evening staff was delightful and accommodating. The Sherman House is absolutely gorgeous, especially the enclosed porch. We will definitely stay again!

Very minor notes here, just some helpful feedback, not really a complaint. :) The curtains on both sides of the spa tub area in our room were completely sheer, which was great in the daylight, but not good once it was dark outside and everyone could see inside... It would be nice to have some optional pull-down blinds for those who don't want to put on a show for the neighbors. The "art" in the area by the spa tub is just the advertisement sheet that came along with the picture frames when they were purchased, which just made us giggle, but might make other guests think that the "decorator" is slacking. ;)

Very good

The staff was friendly and the bed was so comfy. They were willing to work with us to change our reservation.

There was only a clawfoot tub made into a shower. I was expecting a separate shower too. I have trouble climbing into the tub.

Short walking distance to Dells downtown but dated!

I liked the convenient location. Walking to main street, plenty of good restaurants and shops. At the same time - quiet and safe.

I didn’t like how dated the house we stayed at was (Terrace Hill). It needs some serious renovation, and not just paint. The ceiling of our room (French Country) had visible cracks, the bathroom needs an upgrade badly.

Fantastic and we will be back!

Everything was outstanding! My husband and I had a wonderful stay here! Their waffles were sooo good!!! I wish I had their recipe (: The staff was very friendly. Everything about our stay was fantastic! We will most definitely be back!!! Thank you!!!

Hotel is older, but has an excellent location and does a nice job on breakfast.

Great location, Breakfast was better than expected, Staff seemed very friendly.

Stayed for 3 days, didn't get any additional coffee in the rooms, towels were changed out only once, nothing else was done with the room.

The French Country room were We stayed for 2 days it was wonderful, bright, clean exactly as you see the pictures on the website, quiet location, beautiful view and very close to everything. The breakfast was excellent. The staff are very friendly & helpful. Everything wonderful will definitely we come back here again.

We did not have the breakfast. The location was great. The facilities and grounds need to be tended to: paint is peeling off, gardens are over grown with weeds, the rooms do not have there own air conditioning so our room was warm.

The property is in a beautiful location by the lake.

The motel room floor was extremely dirty. At first you wouldn’t realize but as we were walking barefoot or with socks on, after just a few steps the bottom of our feet was very dirty. You can only get so much dirt when you don’t clean weeks or months at times, everything else looked ok and in order.

We'll be back here next time we come to town!

Loved the breakfast. Real eggs and bacon and sausage! Gravy and biscuits? Yes! Juice and Coffee? Of course! Plenty more. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. Location can't be beat!

Although the property is a bit old, it has charm that can't be matched by a chain. As they say, you get what you pay for, but sometimes, you get a bit more!
