304 Newbury Street by Thatch

Pros: 1. Location 2. Decent size for 2-3 people. 3. Parking space behind unit available for rent. 4. Washer and dryer, but pretty noisy. 5. Initial communication was great, texted me entry door and apartment door code on arrival day, and check in was seamless. Meh: 1. Pretty clean, but some things were not well maintained (loose shower valve, loose toilet seat). 2. Doubt anyone had cleaned out the lint trap from the dryer for multiple stays. 3. Noise from street and unit above were apparent but not too bad. 4 No elevator. Not an issue for me, but something to keep in mind for anyone in units 3, 4, 5, and 6. 5. Kitchen seemed fine, but didn’t really use other than refrigerator.

Cons: 1. Entry door screeched like a barn owl. Because my unit was just up the stairs from the front entry, i would hear it EVERY time it opened and closed, making for very poor sleep, as other tenants returned very late or left very early. Notified the management, and they said they would look into it. Seemed like a simple fix, but when it was not addressed by the following day, I notified them again. Their second response was to say they had more important needs to address first and downplayed my concern, saying it only happens for a few seconds. They stated it would be looked at by the end of the day, but was never fixed. I eventually broke out my ear plugs to suppress the noise. 2. Bags of new and old towels/linens, and some small trash in the entry way for entire week.

The best was the location . Very Nice street with a lot of shops and restaurants. Pedestrian street on Sunday

No elevator while we had a lot of luggage and were given an apartment on 3rd floor. Staff uncooperative

Location was good, i appreciated the card and wine left

There was no lotion available or other things typically available at hotels. Some water, lotion or hair cap would have been nice. There wasnt a safe place to leave a suitcase after checkout. I was there for a conference and wished thatch had allowed even the chance to check out later since i checked in very late at night.
