could walk into town but at night there were no sidewalks so not recommended. Grounds were nice. Breakfast was good.
Stayed in the Hideaway, wish the pictures had been better. In the attic with extremely sloped ceilings. I am only 5'3" and could not stand straight in the hall. shower in bathroom , no way you could stand up. other shower in the hallway which offered no privacy.

Great location on the edge of town - a serene oasis and easy walking distance to the beach and to Main Street Chatham. Staff were exceptional and really couldn’t do enough to make the stay special. The rooms are spacious and capture a romantic period of history. The grounds were great to use and we had a picnic high tea one day. Breakfast and free afternoon tea daily was amazing. We were sad to leave and have great memories to take with us.

We loved the grounds and the dining room and the food. The staff was more than helpful for everything.
The room smelled musty upon entering and we discovered the air conditioner was emitting musty air so we could not use it as I am very allergic to mold. We turned off the air conditioner and used the fireplace, the fan and the opened the windows to clear the air so I would not get an asthma attack. Even then I had to take medicine every day. There was no other room to move to at that time.
