The view from the room was breathtaking. We loved the balcony and being able to sit out there have a glass of wine and watch the waves, birds etc. Fantastic!!
There wasn't anything I didn't like about except maybe the walk up the 3 flights of stairs but even that wasn't that bad.

Everything! Friendly staff, Donna was awesome! Very accessible, beautiful clean spacious room. Our room had a jacuzzi tub and balcony with awesome view of the ocean. Left the slider open and slept better than I have in years, the sounds of the waves was so relaxing. Local deer graze nearby in the morning, that was a pleasant surprise to see a momma and 2 baby deer. Coffee/bistro on the first floor of the hotel, walked to down and grabbed a coffee and breakfast burrito. Very delicious! Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the ocean, magnificent!! I could go on and on. Had a wonderful time there.

this property is listed as pet friendly and we openly stayed there with our pet and was then charged $200 for undeclared pet!!!!! the whole reason we picked this hotel was because it was pet friendly…. BEWARE!!!!

It was very clean. Innkeeper was super nice. Its proximity to the ocean, tidepools, and seal rock is amazing. Can't wait to go back, just hoping the restaurant will be open again.

The view from the room AND balcony was FANTASTIC!!! The Staff was friendly & VERY helpful. Our room was quiet, clean & fit our needs perfectly. Able to park on the premises. Centrally located to eateries.
We had 2 1/2 days of perfect weather and over a day of fog, which can NOT be controlled by anyone.

The beautiful views and we loved climbing the rocks and watching the sunset. We also got to enjoy the seals basking in the sun and playing in the waves. We watched deer running on the beach in the early morning! loved our stay here!!
The road to shelter cove was a little nauseating with the ups and downs and twisty turns. But still well worth the stay!

Very pleasant to stay. Looking at the ocean bellows on the shore was fantastic.
You may need to display a giant TV for viewing news or watching tennis matches. For contemplative and tranquil travelers, no problem at all.

Perfect location and exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms. Going to sleep while listening to the waves was a delight. On a clear night the star show is spectacular as there is virtually no light pollution. The host Donna was incredibly helpful in sorting out a booking snafu. Highly recommend.
there are limited dining options in the area so plan ahead.. Mi Mochica is excellent.

close to sea snd great views
cold inside when we arrived. had to use portable heater. very quiet. no one to welcome you. all restaurants closed, just a pizza place open. expensive

Location offers peace and quiet.
The drive going in and out. The location is ideal if you just want to stay on the beach and explore the neighborhood. But if you have to go back out to the Redwoods, it's not worth going back in.

The location was fantastic, offering an amazing view from our room. It was relaxing to hear the waves at night.

Spacious room, quiet, awesome views, and even had all the things we needed to bbq our dinner including the grill and all the utensils. The Gyppo restaurant was within walking distance and we went both nights. Walking thru the residential area we saw lots of wildlife. The lighthouse was pretty and had a heart lit up at night. The ocean waves come right to the hotel. We left our patio door open a bit at night to listen to the waves crashing. We jumped the rocks and investigated the tide pools and saw some really neat sealife. We will definitely stay here again.
The lighthouse and the restaurant on site weren't open due to COVID. With vaccinations and masking I'm not sure why this is still an issue, kinda bummed but it is what it is...
