The updated look, comfortable beds and surroundings were nice and the landscaping was beautiful. The continental breakfast was high quality with pastries from a great Mendocino bakery with delicious fruit and yogurt.
The upgrades are still being completed and one afternoon, an e-car charging station was being installed outside our room which was so loud, we couldn’t hear anything. I called the front desk and they said all they could offer was an apology. Most hotels usually let their guests know when construction work is being done ahead of time.

The location to the downtown area of Mendocino was fantastic. We walked down to the restaurants and had dinner. I did yoga in the morning in the yoga room upstairs before breakfast. It was quiet and peaceful.

Fresh updates: Beautifully remodeled hotel with new, modern finishes. Nice grounds: Well-curated landscaping and plants.
Work in progress: A few hotel improvements are still actively underway.
Expect to drive for most dining experiences.
Room & amenity fixes: Needs more towel racks and larger, better-stocked toiletries.

A walk trough cemetery will take you to the areas of interest
Too expensive for the quality of room and the breakfast was bad, just pastries and sugary stuff. No protein. Staff is nice but I requested for body wash that never came… for 4 days
