This is a great location with a reasonably priced, fairly clean room and very convenient.

The location was great with easy access to town, the music festival and other local places. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. It was nice to have an ice machine.

The blanket had holes in it as in cigarette burn holes. The curtains were torn. There were multiple ant and roach traps in the room, which made me uncomfortable. Some of the grounds are not kept up very well.

Comfortable bed

Very dated. Would have been good to know check in needed to be at a different location after a certain time. Limited facilities - having to pay extra ($20) for a fridge for an already expensive room seemed a bit too much

We always love staying at the Hill House Inn.

The gardens are beautiful! It is so easy to walk into the village as well. We arrived an hour before our check-in time and were met with a smile and the keys to our room!

The hotel is showing some signs of the ocean salt water wear and tear.

Location - Great spot ontop of the hill on the outskirts of town Value for money Comfortable beds Super clean The fact that it’s quite dated but love this so much - it a very inkeeping with the property & town

Superb

Their rooms are a liitle old, but quite comfortable. I love their antique furniture and decor. I had a patio with great andriok chairs. A great place!

Some people at the reception could have been a liitle more welcoming.

Superb

I really enjoyed my one night at this hotel, and wish that I had stayed here longer. I love that we had a private balcony. The bed was so comfortable too. The room was huge, which was great for my toddler to run in. The lady at the front desk was amazing too! She gave my son a great and was overall incredibly friendly and helpful. She really went above and beyond to make our stay really comfortable.

Good value and great location but the furniture in the room was stained and gross.

Good value for Mendocino and location was great, but the furnishings were VERY shabby. The chairs had stains all over them and the curtains were torn and looked dirty. The room was a good size though and the bed was ok. Bathroom was clean but shower was very weak.

it would have been nice if they’d have muffins in the morning. just maybe a fruit plate and a little something. But it was ok to go into town. just a suggestion.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable at this picturesque snapshot of a crumbling 1970’s themed TV show location.

we love this place for its down in the mouth charm & it’s walking distance to everywhere

while it is very clean, it really needs some loving attention. the drapes are ripped and the patios are not nice to sit on- chairs are not nice and landscaping is growing onto sitting spaces. please open at least the second floor balcony in the reception area for sunset viewing.

Not a bad stay, but could have been a whole lot better f the place had been kept up

Room was very nice, rest of property looks unmanaged, trash left overflowing from outdoor trash bins for over a day, one of your staff was quite pleasant and helpful, not so with the other gentleman - seemed like we were an annoyance to him more than anything. Room had no coffee/tea maker, no microwave - both are accepted standards for accommodations for years. Also no breakfast, another expected service. With no bar or dining facilities open, Eve as they looked quite nice in their day, I don’t see us ever returning again.

Seems like you’re trading on your past glory years, without bothering to keep up with the times, no regular maintenance on the facilities, outdoor landscaping hasn’t been touched in years. The pictures and descriptions lead us to anticipate something a little better.

Nice location.

Room was spacious.

Furnishings were old and worn. Drapes were ragged, broken lamp in corner of room. Hotel has seen better days.

Great value in a great location

Reasonably priced lodging in an expensive area.

Facility uses shower gel instead of soap. Shower gel dispenser low when we checked in. Asked to have it refilled. Wasn't refilled over the following few days.

The beds were terrible! if you invest in new mattresses/beds. your rating would go up! There weren’t enough plugs to facilitate the needs of 21st century technology. Keep the nostalgic!

Very good

The property is within walking distance from all the shops and perfectly located. Coffee and tea is provided in the lobby up until 9:00 PM.

There was no coffee maker as stated in the room description and when asked about the amenity, the receptionist emailed the property manager, however there was no follow up with me about the outcome of the request.

.Dated facilities. Had difficult time finding anywhere to eat. Not much to do in the area.
