We liked the location across from Donner Lake and being right next to the ice cream shop.
The room was very nice and quiet so we got a good nights sleep. The light "grab and go" food options in the morning was a nice touch.
The only thing we would suggest is to provide a light weight comforter for the summer months. We found the comforter provided to be very very heavy, which would be great in the cold season.

Great value Much nicer than similarly priced chain hotels
Management very responsive. Offered to come over right away to address a problem, but we realized that it was not necessary.
Management did a poor job of snow removal in parking lot. Lots of melted snow turned to ice and no rock salt provided to us,
Parking lots we visited run by other businesses were in much better shape
$$$$
