Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Port Charlotte Punta Gorda

I really enjoyed the location of the hotel. It was conveniently located and close to everything I needed, which made getting around very easy. I accidentally left my iPad in the lobby. A young man working at the front desk went above and beyond by checking the security cameras to determine who it belonged to and made sure it was safely returned to me. I truly appreciated his honesty, professionalism, and outstanding customer service. His willingness to help was a bright spot during my stay.

Unfortunately, my stay was impacted by a few maintenance issues. The air conditioning did not cool the room effectively, and the hot water did not stay hot long enough to comfortably finish a shower. When I brought the issue to the front desk attendant's attention, I felt that my concerns were dismissed. I was told in a way that implied I should simply limit my shower to about five minutes, rather than being offered a solution or an apology. I would have appreciated a more professional and customer-focused response, as well as an effort to resolve the issue.

I rented this room for my brother. He called me and said that the staff were accommodating, the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. He also added that the pool was clean and he had a great experience. He normally isn't impressed with hotels, motels or inn's but, he said that I made a good choice with this place.

Good price for 5 days

The room had a smell so I had to buy air refresher and hair was in the tub before I showered.

The room was very comfortable.

It wanted a room with 2 beds and it took the desk person a couple of times to get me that room. Also, I was very annoyed with a text message at 7:00 am with my check out link. That could have waited a few hours.
