Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Rome

The staff was nice, the room was clean , and it was close to walk downtown

No complimentary breakfast, parking was a dollar , and a cup of coffee was 4.50 cents over all it is a nice hotel

Very close to cafes, restaurants and retail. Also within walking distance of historic sites. Staff very helpful.

It is a bit dated. New carpets would make a difference.

Nice quiet room.

The restaurant was limited in hours and selection. No pool or hot tub. Parking is expensive.

This is a nice, interesting hotel. Our room was big, however, we did not get the room we paid for. Housekeeping was good, the room was clean & towels replaced while we were out for breakfast. There were several comfortable places to sit & talk since the hotel doesn't really have a "lobby".

Upon arrival, we had to wait at least 20 minutes for someone to show up to check us in. The parking is $11/day paid through another company with a QR code. Someone had mentioned that the wood beams in the atrium were dusty, which I thought wasn't a big deal, but it is really noticeable if you are on the 2nd floor looking down & the planter boxes were empty which was a missed opportunity to upgrade the guest experience. We had planned to get up on checkout day & have a nice breakfast before getting on the road even though we knew it was $15/person. Apparently, they decided not to serve breakfast that day & didn't inform the guests. They felt it fine to put out coffee & some stale bread instead. When we complained to the front desk, the employee was rude & didn't seem to think it was a big deal. We told her we also reserved a riverview room & she said it didn't come over that way from booking.com & next time we should call the hotel directly. There will not be a next time. She then said we got upgraded at check-in to a King & that the other rooms are way smaller. No one told us they were "upgrading" us to a room with a parking lot view & giving us a "small king" sized bed. Shame the customer service was so terrible because it could have been a nice stay. The location was one block from Broad St. & a unique hotel.
